Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Set up welding equipment, select appropriate methods, and materials for the job.
- Perform various types of welding such as MIG, TIG, ARC, and spot welding based on project specifications.
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, cutting, and shaping using appropriate tools.
- Weld and fabricate metal components or structures according to technical drawings and quality standards.
- Inspect welded joints to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Adhere to safety procedures and protocols while performing welding tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC, etc.) and knowledge of different types of metals.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in welding tasks.
- Physical strength and stamina to work in various positions and environments.
- Welding certification or completion of a welding apprenticeship program is preferred.
