Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Operation:
- Operate and drive a variety of commercial motor vehicles, such as trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods and materials to and from specified locations.
- Cargo Handling:
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and securing methods.
- Ensure proper weight distribution and adherence to safety regulations.
- Route Planning:
- Plan and follow efficient and safe routes to meet delivery schedules.
- Use GPS and other navigation tools to navigate unfamiliar locations.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks and report any mechanical issues.
- Documentation:
- Complete accurate and timely logbooks, trip reports, and other required paperwork.
- Ensure all shipping documents and delivery receipts are properly signed and submitted.
