Qualifications for University of Calgary Scholarships for Foreign Students

Candidate must meet all of the criteria listed below in order to be eligible for the University of Calgary Scholarship:

The Canada International Entrance Scholarship is reviving:

  • Annually available to overseas students starting their first year of an undergraduate degree programme at the University of Calgary. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 and complete at least 24.00 units in the prior fall and winter terms to be eligible for renewal in the second, third, and fourth years at the University of Calgary.

If awardees maintain a GPA of 2.60 or higher over a minimum of 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms, and continue to pay an international differential tuition fee as an international student, the award is renewable in the second, third, and fourth years at the University of Calgary.

How Do International Students Apply for University of Calgary Scholarships?

In order to apply for this scholarship, please follow the instructions below:

Fill out an application to the university for a bachelor’s degree:

  • Start working on your application now. Create a UCalgary eID to get started.
  • Make use of the application guide to assist you with your submission.
  • Pay the $145 application fee and submit your application.
  • In your Calgary Student Center, we’ll inform you how and where to submit any necessary documentation based on the information in your application.

To apply for the scholarship, take the following actions:

  • Go to your myUofC portal and access the Student Center.
  • Go to the “My Financials” page in your Student Center by clicking on it.
  • Click “Apply for Undergraduate Awards” under the Awards & Scholarships section by scrolling down. Please check that popups are turned on. The page won’t appear if popups are prohibited.
  • Any open or recently closed applications will appear in a pop-up window on your screen. Please be mindful of the dates for the application’s availability and deadline.
