The Cell Physiology and Molecular Biophysics Department (CPMB) continuously tries to attract and keep the highest caliber students. The Margaret Sheffield Lutherer Charitable Foundation Scholarship will offer students who have a declared mentor who is a primary faculty member of CPMB and who conduct research in the fields of Membrane Biophysics, Neuroscience, and/or Structural Biology a competitive $1,500 one-time award in support of this objective.

Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Margaret Sheffield Lutherer Foundation Scholarship at Texas Tech University, USA 2023-24:
- All Ph.D. and M.D./Ph.D. students with primary professors at CPMB who are in good standing academically are eligible.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 is required for applicants to the Graduate Biomedical Sciences Program.
- At the time of award, student must be enrolled.
- Graduation is anticipated to occur after September 1.Previous award winners as well as awardees are invited to reapply for succeeding award cycles.
