Logan Institution, originally Logan Collegiate of Chiropractic until 2013, is a private special-focus University in Chesterfield, Missouri that provides college education in chiropractic and the health sciences.

Hugh B. Logan, D.C. was the college’s founder and first president. On September 1, 1935, the first class of seven men and women arrived. The college was located at 4490 Lindell Boulevard in St. Louis’ Central West End. After five more students enrolled in February 1936, the college relocated to a 17-acre (6.88-hectare) estate at 7701 Florissant Road in Normandy, a St. Louis suburb, that November.

Carver College of Chiropractic (established in 1906) in Oklahoma City joined with Logan Basic College of Chiropractic in 1958. Missouri Chiropractic College joined with Logan Basic College of Chiropractic in 1964, and the name was changed to Logan College of Chiropractic.

Logan purchased the buildings and grounds of the former Maryknoll Seminary in Chesterfield, Missouri, in 1972. The Health Center was built in 1982, the Science and Research Center in 1986, the Sports/Wellness Complex with adjacent ballfields and pavilion in 2000, the William D. Purser Center in 2007, and the Standard Process Student Center in 2008.

In addition, in 2003, the former Maryknoll chapel was refurbished and converted into the Learning Resource Center, in 2006, the Biofreeze Sports & Rehabilitation Center was added to the Health Center, and in 2012, the university unveiled a new Educational Wing that included an assessment center. The school is located on a 112-acre (45.3-hectare) wooded hilltop and was named one of “America’s Most Beautiful College Campuses” by MSNBC in 2007.

In 2013-14, the university changed its name to Logan University.
