We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, peeling fruits, and preparing ingredients under the guidance of kitchen staff.
  • Support the cooks or chefs by maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including washing and sanitizing utensils, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment.
  • Assist in assembling and setting up food items, garnishes, and condiments according to established guidelines.
  • Receive and store incoming food supplies, ensuring proper storage and labeling to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment following health and safety standards.
  • Dispose of waste and recyclables properly, adhering to waste management protocols.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and assist in various tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to all sanitation and safety procedures to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
