The Lieutenant Colonel Henry Kirkpatrick International Scholarship will be given by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine for the 2023–2024 academic year.

Elsie and Daphne Kirkpatrick donated the money for the scholarship in honor of their late father, Lieutenant Colonel Henry Kirkpatrick. Only overseas students pursuing an MSc in Public Health for Eye Care will be given the funding. This scholarship will be given to one student and will cover things like living expenses and tuition.

Scholarship Award Benefit

All of the following will be provided by the university:

• full tuition for the MSc in Public Health with a focus on Eye Care at the international rate
• GBP 19,500.00 tax-free allowance for living expenses, travel expenses, and visa fees (including the international health surcharge)
• GBP 1,500 toward the costs of the MSc project
• Upon successful completion of the course, GBP 1,100.00 will be given to the student to be applied toward participation at the Alumni Workshop the week before graduation.
