The Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation is currently calling for applications for the ongoing Fully Funded Einstein fellowships in Germany 2023

The Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation are giving a fellowship to students with exceptional academic credentials who want to collaborate on various initiatives.

Benefits of the Scholarship:

The fellowship includes living quarters for five to six months at the garden cottage of Einstein’s summer home in Caputh, Brandenburg, just minutes from Potsdam and Berlin’s universities and intellectual institutions.

A stipend of EUR 10,000 will be paid to the fellow, as well as reimbursement of travel expenses.

Criteria for Eligibility:

  • Candidates must be under the age of 35 and have earned a bachelor’s degree in the humanities, social sciences, or scientific sciences.
  • A CV,
  • a two-page project proposal, and two letters of recommendation are required for 2023 applications.
  • By May 15, 2022, all paperwork must be received.

The fellow will be expected to present his or her project in a public lecture at the Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation at the end of the fellowship period.

The Einstein Fellowship is not for students who want to finish a course of study that they have already started.

A successful proposal must demonstrate the applicant’s outstanding intellectual progress as well as the quality, originality, and viability of the proposed idea.

It makes no difference whether the applicant has started working on a PhD or already has one.

The suggested project does not have to be finished altogether within the fellowship period, but it can represent the start of a larger effort.
