Responsibilities:
- Formwork Construction: Construct and assemble molds or forms using wood, metal, or other materials according to project blueprints and specifications.
- Measurement and Cutting: Measure and cut materials precisely, ensuring accuracy in formwork dimensions and specifications.
- Reinforcement Installation: Install reinforcing steel bars or mesh within forms to provide additional structural support for concrete.
- Concrete Pouring and Finishing: Pour concrete into forms, vibrate and compact it to remove air pockets, and finish surfaces to desired specifications.
- Formwork Removal: Dismantle forms after the concrete has set, ensuring safety protocols and preserving the integrity of the concrete structures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (X years) as a Concrete Forms Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, understanding construction drawings, and interpreting project specifications.
- Expertise in using carpentry tools and equipment necessary for formwork construction.
- Physical stamina and ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions.
