We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and have a strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, as well as the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
- Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments
- Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and monitor actual performance against projections
- Communicate regularly with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and answer questions related to financial transactions and records
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
- Participate in the preparation of annual audits and tax filings, and provide supporting documentation as needed
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in bookkeeping and accounting, and incorporate them into our processes and systems
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of bookkeeping processes and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Proficiency in bookkeeping software, such as QuickBooks or Xero
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate financial statements and reports
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a high degree of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of tax regulations and filings is a plus

- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
