Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entries, and expense reimbursements.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in general ledger accounts.
- Generate and analyze financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and monitor accounts to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Prepare and file necessary tax documents, assisting in tax audits, and cooperating with external auditors as needed.
- Manage and process invoices, verify expenses, and assist in budget preparation.
- Utilize accounting software to input and manage financial data efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent work experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, showcasing expertise in financial record-keeping and analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and practices.
