Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems accurately.
- Interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and specifications to perform repairs and adjustments.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for repairs or maintenance.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs, answering customer questions, and addressing concerns.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized automotive service technician program or apprenticeship is preferred.
- Proven experience as an automotive service technician, with a strong understanding of automotive systems and repairs.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and address mechanical and electrical issues.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to diagnose complex vehicle problems.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnoses and repairs.
- Strong customer service and communication skills to interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy parts and maneuvering in tight spaces.

- Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications
- Estimate parts and labour costs
- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Test and adjust units to specifications
- Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
- Coach and instruct apprentices
